Adam & Beth's Beautiful Fall Wedding

Updated: Feb 7, 2019

I have known Adam and Beth for a few years now. They are two amazing people who truly feel complete together. After shooting their engagement session earlier last year I absolutely could not wait for their wedding! They are the kind of couple who make a perfect team. They constantly challenge and inspire each other, and every person who knows them knows that they belong together.

Now to this beautiful wedding! It was a wet and foggy Pacific Northwest morning in October 2018. Adam and Beth had their wedding at Red Barn Studios in Chehalis, WA. It was my first time at this venue and it was simply breathtaking. I want to live there!

Beth's bridesmaids presented her with a "Letters to the Bride" book to read while getting ready. Better get those tears out before makeup time!

Once everyone was ready to go, we did a first look. It was probably my favorite one of all time. They both cried, then she celebrated the fact that she got him to cry. The results were adorable.

The whole wedding party was hilarious and super easy to work with. These guys had me laughing the whole time, and we got some amazing groomsmen shots because of it.

The bridesmaids were equally amazing. Even if it got emotional at times!

Even the family photos were a blast.

Then it was ceremony time! Though plan A was to do it outside, the weather was questionable enough that they opted for inside. (I ALWAYS recommend planning an indoor option! We never know what the weather will do in Washington).

The ceremony was inside, but it was gorgeous! Their officiant had them do something really awesome that I want to share. Before the ceremony he asked them each what scent reminded them of the other. They both said "lavender". He brought two tiny vials of lavender and had them take a deep whiff of it during the ceremony. He explained that scent is the most powerful memory tool. If they are ever upset, having relationship trouble, etc. they could open their vial, take a deep breath, and be brought right back to this moment. In front of their friends and family, celebrating the immense love they have for each other. Remembering how they felt the day of their wedding. Isn't that awesome?!

After the ceremony, I swept them away for some photos, then they took advantage of the extra alone time I suggested they add into their timeline. 15-30 minutes to relax, be together, and take in the fact that you are now married is another thing I always recommend doing. Weddings are big, stressful, and exhausting (but great!). Taking a few minutes to feel like it's about the two of you instead of your guests can give you that second wind to party hard the rest of the night.

Congratulations, you two. I'm so glad I got to be apart of your big day. Call me up when you start having those babies!!!
